De Jong & Co. was founded in 2014 by the De Jong family which includes five sons and daughters, two sisters and three brothers, as well as mother and father De Jong. The primary principals of the company began with the interior design of the eldest sister Ruth De Jong and the furniture design and manufacturing of the middle brother Peter De Jong.
Ruth De Jong is a production designer who has worked beside directors such as David Lynch, Paul Thomas Anderson, and Terrence Maleck. She brings the same skill and creative eye to her interior design for De Jong & Co.
