Cork Wash Basin

Leave it to a new generation of Portuguese to re-imagine a natural material so intrinsic to its national identity. SimpleFormsDesign is behind this new wave. A minimalist silhouette that plays up the beauty and possibilities of cork (and stainless steel) drives designers Alzira Peixoto and Carlos Mendonça. They use agglomerated cork and rubber-cork composite and apply a finishing specifically with the wear and tear of everyday use in mind. These basins are built to last. No wonder they were awarded the Red Dot Design Award.
