Ed Carpenter & Y'a Pas Le Feu Au Lac's
Kart Serving Dishes
Sharing meals takes on another meaning with this playful set of serving dishes on wheels. Roll bread rolls across the dining table or steer the crudite to a guest down the coffeetable. The pared-down form of the Karts put the edible contents in the driver's seat.
Designed for French studio Y'a Pas Le Feu Au Lac by Ed Carpenter. The Brit native already established himself as a furniture and interiors designer when he entered The Royal College of Art, where he studied under Ron Arad. Upon graduation in 2002, he and fellow classmate André Klauser founded Klauser & Carpenter and he also released what remains his best-known and best-selling work to date, the Pigeon Light, produced by Thorsten Van Elten. The Karts are sure to be another winner in this young designer's career.
