Gomitolo Wall Clock

A clock that gives Dali's melting "The Persistence of Memory" a run for its novelty. Designing couple Carlo and Benedetta Tamborini merged their respective disciplines—he, home furnishing design; she, knitwear design—into this imaginative clock for fellow Italian house Diamantini & Domeniconi. D & D have been keeping time for 40 years.

A beautiful cotton fiber is knitted into "sweater" form for the clock, and is removable and washable. The pair are so devoted to the texture and craft of this technique: Benedetta even teaches knitwear design at the European Institute of Design in Milan.
