Deliciousness is elevated in this clever tripod bowl by Sebastian Bergne. The Tehran-born son of a diplomat, Sebastian spent his childhood in Athens, Cairo, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi among other far-flung places, and studied at Central St. Martins and the Royal College of Art, where he was appointed visiting professor in 2008. Right after his 1990 graduation, he opened his own studio and has since created work for Muji, Vidal Sassoon, Vitra, Moulineux and other design leaders. The tripod, available in beechwood and (shown here) in ceramic, was made for ENO, the Paris collective whose name stands for Editor of New Objects, or Edition Noveaux Objets. We love it for fruit, hot dishes or even left out empty on a table.
