Quirky & Spencer Sloan's
Bobble Toothbrush Holder
Graphic designer Spencer Sloan's Manhattan digs consisted of a shoebox of an apartment (some 143 square feet!), with inconsequential bathroom counter space. "My toothbrush had a habit of ending up on the floor (strict deal breaker) or in the toilet (seasonal deal breaker)," he says. So, inspiration struck. "It’s true what they say: New York City is the abusive step-mother of invention." With a concept in mind, Spencer turned to the invention lab Quirky. More than 494 Quirky enthusiasts helped shape the final product, and the bright, Weeble Wobble-inspired Bobble Brush holder was born. Toothbrushes are kept upright. The wobbling base fits most standard, non-electronic brushes, and is weighted and rubberized to keep the Bobble from slithering off a wet counter—no matter how crowded or narrow the surface. Top and mid sections can be easily twisted and separated for cleaning. Because even the lowly toothbrush deserves a well-designed home.
