Oeuf's
Fair Trade-Made Animal Masks
Hoooo hooo are you? Let your inner owl or deer emerge with these beautifully detailed masks made of 100% baby alpaca. A lanolin-free fiber, these masks are hypoallergenic. Alpaca is a sustainable, soft and luxurious wool, and the wool for these masks is brushed making them extra soft. The Franco-American husband-wife team of Sophie Demenge and Michael Ryan founded Oeuf in 2002 with the birth of the first of their two children. Part of the neo-wave of design- and environmentally-minded parents, the pair wanted to reduce unnecessary purchases in their lives. With Oeuf, the emphasis is essential, high quality and multifunctional design made with a respect for their collaborators, as well as the world. Natural, renewable, recyclable materials are incorporated in manufacturing processes that promote sustainability. The Oeuf line of stunning dress-up accessories is knitted in Bolivia, in line with Fair-Trade principles by a self-managed community of artisans who are paid a living wage, enabling them to afford healthcare and education for their children.
