Pin Table [Outdoor/Indoor]

main image of Pin Table [Outdoor/Indoor]

Spontaneity can lead to the most engaging things in life. That impulse lead Norwegian Andreas Engesvik to come up with the Pin Table, a design that resembles a giant push pin and acts like one too: simply stick the pointed post end into the lawn or sand or dirt and press down on the button. Voila! An on-the-spot way to hold a cocktail or coffee alfresco. Or give a picnic an elegant lift. The Pin Table was first conceived when Andreas was invited by Wallpaper* Magazine for its "Handmade" exhibition in Milan 2010. The table, made of spun small striped pine and lacquered in high-gloss color, was launched in 2012 by Danish house Menu. Our team in-house has come up with innovative ways of using it indoors, too, from pushing the Pin Table into a chunk of cork to sticking in a potted pot!
