First Date Bag

A little humor can go a long way, especially on something as potentially awkward as a new encounter with Mr. or Miss Right. The First Date Bag from JumpFromPaper can break the ice (or instantly determine whether there will be a second date!). Not so much a bag of tricks as a trick bag, this collection of trompe l’oiel purses and satchels are the 3-D realization of 2-D doodles by pals Chay Su and Rika Lin. The young Taipei designers created the crazily executed Op Art collection with the Pop Art colors and styling under the aptly called JumpFromPaper label. Believe us, we had to hold these in hand before we could believe it with our own eyes! Slim as these bags appear, they are actually roomy enough to carry your life (from magazines to an iPad to…). A zipper along the base expands for extra space.
