Give those two legs a rest on three. The tripod J107 by Poul M. Volther is part of the series the late Danish designer first introduced during his MidCentury reign at FDB (The Danish Consumers’ Co-operative Society)—and that his fellow countrymen at Hay have re-launched. Poul eschewed trendiness, focusing on the ideal of functionalism above all else. High-quality design and an accessible price was FDB’s mission, by way of transferring production to industrial means. We see the J107 as an elegant option around a table or singly in a room or corner.
