Who isn't drawn to a good fire? So why not make it one with pick-up and go? Fire Basket can be readily set on the beach, in garden on a terrace. Or move it the patio party next door. Functional simplicity is the benchmark of the striking design by Norm.Architects for Menu. Executed in sturdy oxidized steel, the basket is engineered to hold firewood and set atop three legs, elevating the fire from the ground and containing the charred logs for easy cleanup. (Of course, a solid and fireproof underlay is recommended, and please pay careful attention to the usual safety regulations regarding open fire.) Over time, the steel develops a rich patina, an intended part of this intuitive design from the Copenhagen-based multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2008 by Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen.
