When light hits Established & Sons' liquid-like tabletop, the glossy pigmented surface glows with a gleaming reflection from its polished expanse. Udukuri by Tokyo-based designer Jo Nagasaka is named after the Japanese technique of hand-carving away the surface of wood, in this case Douglas fir,  to reveal the grain. Covered with bright epoxy resin in a choice of saturated hues, the plank-style table has a natural-finish base.
