Designer Piet Hein Eek is on the beam with the Leff Tube Clock Wood. Mounting his original Tube Clock in a block of wood certainly raises the design ante. Wooden beam can be positioned vertically or horizontally. Consider it a platform for other objects (especially the companion Leff Tube Audio speaker which, like the Tube Clock, is also at A+R.) In 3 handsome combinations: stainless steel clock with natural hevea wood, brass finish with brown oak or copper finish with black ash.

“We love clocks because they are functional and can be pieces of art at the same time,” says Arno Ruijzenaars, fo-founder of Leff Amsterdam with brother Dennis Ruijzenaars and designer Erwin Termaat. “As nobody really needs a clock these days,” he adds, ”it is a great challenge to develop clocks that people just like to have in their surroundings because of the design.” Leff Amsterdam has proved more than up to the task with its noteworthy series of design-centric desk and wall clocks along with offshoot audio and wristwatches.
Both in-house design talent and noted collaborators like designer Piet Hein Eek are responsible for the company's memorable offerings. Leff, from the Dutch ‘lef’ is derived from the Hebrew word for heart and certainly the partners put their all into developing products that stand the test of, well, time. “With every project,” Arno says, “our goal is to create a design classic.”
