From Osidea's series in eco-friendly plywood, Kita resembles its name, which means "mouth" in Finnish. The magazine holder was designed by Mikko Laakkonen as a simple and functional form in a choice of wood grain or bold solid colors. Generously scaled to hold up to 30 magazines, Kita keeps stray reading material organized in its own distinctively uncluttered fashion.

Joining together an international roster of designers from the UK, Denmark and the United States, the debut Osidea collection hit the ground running. With a long history of making furniture for European brands, the company’s namesake collection is a contemporary take on wood-based furniture and updated bentwood techniques. Light in scale but remarkably strong and durable, the design codes range from the elegantly minimal Hanna seating and table to such quirky accent pieces as the Fortune Cookie stool.
