Designer Sebastian Herkner likens his full-stop impressive Oda Big Lamp to an airy "balloon full of light". Each hand-blown glass vessel is unique, with the characteristic small bubbles, streaks and variations inherent in the process. With its powder-coated steel base, the fixture was inspired by the renowned photographs of industrial water towers by German artist couple Bernd and Hilla Becher that they called "anonymous sculptures." Sebastian brings that thought full circle in Oda, another assured turn from this young creative based in Offenbach. From German brand Pulpo, whose contemporary production processes are leavened by traditional crafting techniques.
