The Oda Medium Lamp grounds designer Sebastian Herkner's balloon-shaped model for low-level ambient illumination. With the characteristic small bubbles, streaks and variations inherent in hand-blown glass, each one is unique. On a slender powder-coated steel base, the structure references the renowned photographs of industrial water towers by German artist couple Bernd and Hilla Becher that they called "anonymous sculptures." Likewise, Sebastian's offering pays tribute to that inspiration in this collaboration with emerging German brand Pulpo, which marries contemporary production processes and the tradition of hand-craft.
