Art and science converge in Tokujin Yoshioka's enigmatic table lamp Tear Drop, part of the permanent collection at MoMA in New York City. The designer floats an orb of light within a hard glass sphere scaled to the size of the human heart. Refracting the light source's illumination suffuses the whole with a warm and luminous glow.
