At a kitchen counter or a game-room bar, there's even more to love with the metallic version of the stool dubbed "Lucy" by Bend designer Gaurav Nanda. A decorative flash as well as a pleasure to sit on—with careful consideration given to the angles of the backrest, the curve of the seat, and the spacing of the wire structure. Starting with the machine-molded frame in iron (a sustainably sourced and recyclable material), a series of specific hand-welds, or "bends," give the piece form. Then it's sandblasted, and treated with anti-rust primer and finished for extended life right in Gaurav's L.A. studio. Metallic plated version intended for interior use only.
