The 2-seater CH162 is built upon a solid oak or walnut frame, its vertical and horizontal lines softened by upholstered cushions made of a foam core surrounded by European down and cold foam. Hans J. Wegner's innovative design merged satisfying comfort with his characteristic emphasis on making structural elements visible, down to the enlarged wooden plugs in the armrests—concealing construction screws while bringing attention to the seating's clean, elegant shape.
