A Hans J. Wegner design from 1958 that heretofore existed only as a prototype, CH88P lends itself to a number of options, including a version with the signature elements in black steel and oak. Characteristically, the upper structure features a steam-bent wooden backrest for back support, with slight curvatures at the ends that provide a natural resting place for the arms. Along with the chair's numerous oak finishes, the oval-shaped seat is available upholstered in a textile or leather.
