ISP takes lighting into the 21st century with a streamlined brass capsule. An aviator by trade, its designer Ilia Sergeevich Potemine fashions a light controlled by the wave of the hand not a switch or dimmer—via an electronic proximity sensor. Instead of a classic bulb, the glowing cylinder is adjusted by pulling it out of the gleaming tube. A base in either black or white marble proves a more than elegant match with its intriguingly characteristic pattern.
