Clam Pendant Light

Call it an eco-imperative from far-thinking brand Decode London. Young designer Daniel Schofield reimagines the familiar round pendant light with Clam. Splitting the sphere into halves that fit inside each other reduces the carbon impact from shipping significantly. In turn, using vacuum-formed acrylic for the fixture extends the use of the material 50 times greater than its raw state. Diffusing soft light evenly, the joined half-spheres are elegantly held together with solid steel or brass clips.
