Drawing on his preference for honest but refined materials, Børge Mogensen's impressive wooden lounge chair gains a rustic contrast with its seat and back fashioned in linen canvas. Along with the designer's trademark use of horizontal and vertical lines, the frame is made of prime European solid oak, available in a choice of finishes. Designed in 1970 as a reaction to flashy furniture from the previous decade, The Canvas Chair seems even more relevanct today, given its appealing authenticity.
