This simply sophisticated bar stool is a marriage of old and new, in materials and construction. Layers of beech wood - formed with a 1950s-era mold - sit atop a contemporary aluminum base, simultaneously delivering flexibility and support. The thin seat feels as good as it looks, making the Wendela Bar Stool an optimal place for eating, chatting or just taking a load off. Beech wood seat is available in dark or light stain, aluminum frame in powder coated black or white, feet in plastic dark or light brown, matching the seat.
Produced by Netherlands-based Functionals, helmed by brothers Ad and Simon van Esch, and designed for them by Serener, run by visionary Christoph Seyferth.
