The Edison bulb was never really about Edison. Brooklyn-based designer Scott Newlin takes the vintage Italian table lamp — bulbous diffuser, slender rod, quiet presence — and runs it through a contemporary edit. The silhouette is familiar enough to feel inherited, specific enough to feel new. A bulbous translucent diffuser atop a thin metal stem, casting a wide, even glow.
