Housefish takes counter measures with the Lock Counter Stool, a variation on its seating series. Merging technology and craft to produce clean-lined and comfortable seating in eco-minded fashion, the Denver-based studio combined quotidian plywood with powder-coated steel. The computer-driven design reflects company founder Scott Bennett's previous turn as a race-car engineer. Assembly is a snap: slide the seat into the locking notch in the back and insert just 4 screws. In maple or walnut veneer over multi-core plywood that's locally sourced and sustainably harvested, with eco-friendly finishes and paper-based flat packaging.
