Milanese artist-turned-designer Joe Columbo melded a certain Italian sensuality with his characteristic functional sensibility in his Chair 300 from 1965. The defining, indulgent curve of the seat and backrest contrasts with a strikingly angled frame rendered in solid oak. Upholstered in fabric or leather, the now-revived seating from Copenhagen’s Karakter beckons comfortably, with a choice of frame in several select wood finishes.
