Italian designer brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglion pared the idea of a wall-hung bookshelf down to a minimalist ideal in Libera Pensile. First unveiled in 1957, it proves its timelessness in this reintroduction by Copenhagen brand Karakter. With shelves hanging from nearly indiscernible knotted cords that are suspended from a single point, the shelves have a look of floating that also makes them discreetly apropos for displaying favorite objets or greenery.
