Sofa Island serves as a backless, armless extension of the Elephant modular seating collection. Designer Christian Haas' deeply cushioned concept is built on firm but pliant padding with a durable pocket-spring core and then topped with premium foam. The high-performance upholstery fabric is actually made from recycled synthetics that have a pleasingly wooly texture. A visible frame in sustainably grown solid Japanese chestnut balances out the look.
