Launched in 1956, L.Ercolani’s enduring Originals Butterfly Chair gets an update with an upholstered-seat version. The iconic everyday dining seating features traditional Windsor wedge and tenon joinery, a technique in which the chair’s legs are extended through the seat, secured with a wedge, and then sanded until they lie flush with the seat. Offered in ash timber with an ash veneer steam-bent ply seat and back, this Midcentury classic comes in a range of timber finishes and innumerable complementary upholstery selections.
