Description
Ercol founder Lucian Ercolani's post-war classics inspired this right-armed upholstered chair, part of the new Von collection that’s equally suited for socializing, working or relaxing. Designer Hlynur V. Atlason fashions the modular series in solid wood in a range of finishes with accompanying premium upholstery fabrics to bring a new comfort and warmth to contract settings often lacking those qualities. Yet functionality is key, with the versatile furnishings readily configured at home, at work or at play.

Marking the 100-year anniversary of Ercol in 2020, the company reorganized under the moniker of its founder Lucian Ercolani as a premium brand that embodies the classic collection he pioneered as well as new works from an international slate of designers like Norm Architects, Jonas Wagell, and Lars Beller Fjetland. Under Edward Tadros, current chairman and grandson of “the old man” as Lucien is fondly remembered, the legacy of well-built furniture continues at its headquarters in the English countryside village of Princes Risborough
Best known for the iconic midcentury Originals that are still produced today, Ercolani developed a contemporary version of handmade British furniture initially inspired by classic Windsor styles. After surviving the Great Depression, two world wars, several recessions, and global competition, the company moves robustly into a new century buttressed by its uncompromising values and unstinting craftsmanship.
