Shadow Cabinet

With his sybarite sensibility, designer Lee Broom explores what happens in the shadows in a hand-crafted sideboard that offers an intriguing optical illusion. Topped by a magnificent solid expanse of brushed brass, the cabinet displays alternating triangulated facets that extend vertically down the front—one side in American walnut and the other in brushed brass or black inlay. From one angle Shadow appears to be all wood and from the other all brass, a marvelous effect that also cleverly disguises the piece's generous inside storage.
