RO Floor Lamp

Aligning with Made by Hand’s guiding credo of fine craftsmanship and understated luxury, RO extols simple materials like textured  jute and forged iron. Danish designer Kim Richardt wraps the floor lamp’s cylinder shade with the natural yarn and mounts it on black powder-coated legs, in a nod to old craft traditions in Denmark from the 1950s. Inside the lamp shade, the brass reflector allows only small cracks of light to peek through the jute yarn, creating a coziness evoked by the name RO, for the Danish word for calmness and a feeling of well-being.
