Designer Sebastian Herkner counters the fragile impression of glass with the brawny but refined Alwa One. A thick circular slab of the hand-cast material, with its artisanal bubbles, streaks and “raw” uneven surface is clenched in the grip of an L-shaped base in powder-coated steel. In either of its 2 sizes, each tabletop is created from transparent or colored glass, with natural variations that are part of the production process and make it strikingly unique.
