The option of an upholstered seat brings an avenue for customization to Japanese studio Nendo's turn-it-on-it’s-head stool. Configured on the model of the 3-legged classic, in designer Oki Sato’s hands the crossbar supports unexpectedly break apart and "melt away" in the middle, turning perpendicular to support the seat and a leg with only the remaining crossbar in place to act as a footrest. Choose from a selection of elevated fabrics or fine leather to sheath the seat to complement the black powder-coat steel finish.
