Combining state of the art technology with the art of nature, London-based Tala considered the mathematical patterns in the forest for its Voronoi bulbs—ideal for pendants or table lamps (fixtures sold separately). The organically shaped glass bulb limns the mathematical pattern that naturally occurs in a canopy of trees; while the filament references the Fibonacci formations found in pine cones and ferns across the forest floor.
The team behind Tala, who met at university, not only strive for environmentally conscious design in their products and packaging. Tala's Ten Trees program plants 10 trees for every 200 products sold, in partnership with Heart of England Forest (HoEF) in England and the National Forest Foundation in the United States. And it appears Tala is well on its way to planting 35,000 trees by April 2018!
