Description
From its centered mounting point, the symmetrical Retro Float can be oriented either horizontally or vertically. Each of the Thin fixture's double LED wands can rotate to face either the wall or outward into a space for varied lighting effects. The ultra-thin linear sconce is made of precision-machined brass and hand-assembled in Juniper's Connecticut facility. Available in a choice of 2 lengths and varied metal finishes, it suits residential, hospitality and commercial settings, either as a single point of light or arrayed in multiples.

“Each collection is highly conversational and a big part of that conversation is rooted in the product's function,” says Juniper's Shant Madjarian. Leaving a successful career in finance to explore his creative side, Shant says he hasn’t looked back since. “I am especially fascinated by the nostalgia and storyline told by the iconic design objects of the 20th century,” he told the design publication New York Spaces. “I was inspired and wanted to be one small piece of that storyline.”
Early on, Shant crossed paths with independent designer David Irwin and together they conceived the breakthrough M Lamp, an industrially influenced design that set the tone for future projects. At the same time came the collaboration with Peter Bristol on the Thin series, which positioned the company as a risk-taker in matters of design and engineering. With Juniper as a fully-integrated design and manufacturing brand, the company has relocated beyond its original Brooklyn start-up location to encompass both a New York City showroom and production facility in Connecticut.
