Inspired by the shape of a folded paper cone, Finnish designer Kasper Nyman rethinks Scandinavian wood design in his Mono Chair for Danish brand Woud. His simple but exquisite chair with a signature drop-shaped hole came to life via a new thermoformable Grada veneer that can be shaped into more challenging forms than ordinary plywood. In addition, the wood used comes from responsibly managed forests and the glue technology does not contain formaldehyde or other harmful compounds.
