Koba Coffee Table: Square

In this boldly scaled square version, Koba combines the sleekness of glass and the warmth and tactility of solid wood with a hand-carved flourish. French designer Jean-Marie Massaud’s coffee table features a central cube base in matte-finish, black-stained maple that squarely intersects a smoked glass tabletop, framed around the edges. Lifting the carved central section’s lid, with its texture reminiscent of burnt wood, reveals a storage compartment while the base also contains an easily accessible “secret” space.
