Description

The Hokkaidō Mingei Sofa embodies the spirit of Japan’s folk-craft movement, rooted in the belief that true beauty lies in everyday craftsmanship. Inspired by the Hokkaidō Mingei Furniture tradition, the design celebrates simplicity, durability, and the quiet dignity of natural materials. Crafted with HIDA’s renowned woodworking expertise, the solid-wood frame showcases honest joinery and expressive timber grain, while the upholstered cushions offer contemporary comfort suited for daily living. Each element reflects the philosophy of enduring use - meant to be lived with, loved, and to age gracefully.
