Connected only by a slim steel element that seems too slender to support the bowl-like shade, Copenhagen maker Karakter reissues the sculptural Aida Lamp with its pleasing visual disconnect between the base and shade.Designer Angelo Mangiarotti references the oft-confounding appearance of his architecture with its slim, elegant pillars often supporting larger elements. Aida diffuser in mouth-blown opal glass, for soft indirect illumination from the LED light source, with black-laquered aluminium and steel base and supporting arm.
