Miguel Milá's TMD stands as a streamlined version of an earlier floor lamp with a shade that is raised like a sail up a mast. Replacing wood for a unified metal look and adding a sturdy circular base, the inventive designer's engineering remains the same, with the adjustable shade height held by a rubber stopper, and the light switched on-off by pulling lightly on the cable. Creating a warm ambient light, the elegant lampshade in white linen and slim satin-nickel stand has its own timeless resonance.
