Penguin Donkey Mark 2
Description
When Isokon commissioned designer Ernest Race to refashion the original 1939 Donkey in 1963, the result was advertised as an “obliging creature which holds up to 90 paperbacks…and provides a convenient chairside table.” Still handcrafted in London today, the clever double-bookcase structure features warm cherry wood legs and a white lacquered body.
